P4 mock exam guideHow to use a mock well
- Step 1
Sit a paper first, timed
Before you revise, sit the free Predicted Paper 2027, a timed mini-mock or one of your board's past papers under exam timing.
- Step 2
Mark it and list your lost marks
Mark it with the mark scheme and put every lost mark in My mistakes, so you revise what you got wrong, not what you already know.
- Step 3
Fix the topics, then sit another paper
Follow the 2-week or 4-week plan on your board's page. For a shorter run-in there are 12-day plans for A Level and IAL, and Mock Season Plan tracks four weeks for you.

Common questions
When are A Level Maths mock exams?
Your school sets the dates. Year 13 mocks are often in December or January; check your school calendar or ask your teacher.
What is on an A Level Maths mock?
Most schools set full papers in the real format for your board. For Edexcel 9MA0, AQA 7357 and OCR A H240 that is three papers of 2 hours and 100 marks each; for Edexcel IAL each unit is one paper of 1 hour 30 minutes and 75 marks. Pick your board above for the details.
Where can I find a free A Level Maths mock paper?
Our Predicted Paper 2027 is a free full 2-hour, 100-mark pure paper with a mark scheme (we email you the link). Our timed mini-mocks are free to sit, and the exam boards publish their own past papers free on their websites; our past papers pages link to each one.
How should I revise for A Level Maths mocks?
Sit one paper timed first, mark it and list the topics where you lost marks. Fix those topics with the topic questions and Skill Builders, then sit another paper. Each board and unit page has a 2-week and a 4-week plan that does this.
Are these official exam board papers?
No. Our mock papers are written by us. This site is independent and is not connected to Pearson Edexcel, AQA or OCR.
